To elaborate on our previous blog, we would like to share with you how you can utilize an Audience Response System (ARS) in combination with S.P.E.E.C.H. to truly captivate your audience in a way they have never experienced before. To refresh, S.P.E.E.C.H. was defined as Simplicity, Purpose, Effectiveness, Elegance, Charisma, and Harmony. The benefit of captivating your audience using S.P.E.E.C.H. in combination with an ARS is that a captivated audience is a more responsive audience. You may be educating trained Professionals that believe there is no benefit to your presentation, however, having them actively engaged throughout your presentation greatly increases the probability that they will in fact learn something. As mentioned before, the use of an Audience Response System is crucial in engaging your audience, and this is amplified ten-fold when you may have an audience that tends to be on the shy side. With an Audience Response System, even the man or woman of few words can have their input submitted electronically and anonymously.

Utilizing S.P.E.E.C.H. alongside with an Audience Response System can fabricate a superb presentation. Here is S.P.E.E.C.H. in a new, surprisingly familiar application:

-Simple: Word questions using simple language. This will disable any communication barriers with your audience.    *This does not mean you have to ask simple questions.

-Purposeful: Make your questions explicitly relevant to your presentation. Asking irrelevant questions will cause your audience confusion and can waste valuable time in receiving responses.

-Effective: Ask questions that will effectively utilize the information at hand and the knowledge sought to be shared. Asking questions that can be unanimously answered correctly are redundant and a waste of not only the audience’s time, but your time as well.

-Elegant: Creating a few creative questions to introduce yourself will help establish credibility and adhere to a more personal connection with the audience.

-Charismatic: An Audience Response System is a key utility, so utilize it as such to enhance the enticement of your overall presentation.

-Harmonic: Synchronize your overall presentation message with every aspect of your presentation. Assimilate your audience with your presentation message by utilizing our Audience Response Systems to provide an opportunity to provide meaningful feedback that will keep them engaged throughout.

There is a shifting paradigm of presenting in modern society. The linear method (I talk, you listen) is swiftly losing track and there is an emerging shift into the circular mindset (where every member has an impact on the learning environment in a constant feedback oriented response loop). Innovation in the presentation realm is a noticeable emergence and failing to innovate will leave your audience unengaged and bored. Following these ideas that we have presented with the utilization of our Audience Response Systems will guide you in the right direction away from the old and outdated methods of presentation.
