Option Technologies International has announced the release of a new wireless keypad platform, the OptionFinder® Micro 4. The platform, which replaces the Micro 3 model, is a next generation wireless audience response system that is highly portable and cost effective.
Micro 4 keypads offer single and multi-digit interactive audience response capability that is useful for a variety of applications including adult learning, audience polling, and electronic voting. With two different types of transceiver base stations, the system can be conveniently configured for both small and large audiences. The Micro 4 uses proprietary Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) technology which allows Micro 4 keypads to transmit at a range of 300 feet. 31 standard channels allow for system expansion to as many as 15,500 participants in a single location.
The OptionFinder Micro 4 wireless keypad is highly portable and weighs less than 1
ounce. Each handset comes with a lanyard – making it to easy wear and carry and reducing the possibility of keypad loss. The Micro 4 is a two-way transceiver that uses encrypted radio communications protocols. Each device transmits a unique device serial number that allows for secure communications and sophisticated response tracking for each meeting participant.
Micro 4 a great extension of the OptionFinder® Micro product line and takes advantage of newer USB communication protocols and the latest polling features in our flagship OptionPower® software.
The Micro 4’s high performance can be measured by its impressive polling rate of
200 keypads per second and the ability to score participant responses in a matter .05 seconds. The system uses high performance microprocessor chips and is built to easily support periodic firmware and driver updates during the life of the product – giving it an extended life and making it more cost effective to own and operate.
OptionFinder Micro 4 audience response keypads are equipped with enhanced power management circuitry that provides extended battery life of up to 12 months or 20,000 responses. The efficiency, speed, and overall durability of the OptionFinder Micro 4 technology make it a highly desirable tool for audience response interaction in meetings and classrooms.
